The objectives of Torino 2008 World Design Capital are:
- to put Torino and Piemonte on the European map of design cities;
- to help spread the culture of planning throughout the country: with the people, in businesses, in education, in institutions;
- to leave a permanent mark that can renew the effects of Torino 2008 World Design Capital over time;
