DESCRIPTION:

APCI created the “Observeur du design” in 1999. It is now considered as the French national design prize and endorsed by the ICSID.
This showcase highlights and rewards each year a selection of the best creations resulting from the collaboration between companies and designers. It welcomes French and international companies and designers from all sectors of industry enabling them to exhibit their most recent and innovative creations.
The products are selected by a committee and an independent jury awards the most outstanding designs which receive the “Observeur Stars”. They all proceed to form part of a four-month run exhibition at La Villette in Paris. More than 45 abroad cities welcomed the “Observeur du design”. Projects for exhibitions in Brazil, China, Denmark and South Korea are currently in course for next year. Meanwhile, the 2008 autumn international touring programme is bringing the “Observeur du design” to Taïwan Design Expo, Budapest Design Week and Torino International Design Casa.
