Strolling amidst design
A history in 80 objects
06.03.2008 > 01.12.2008
via Po – piazza Vittorio Veneto, Torino
Città di Torino
This open-air exhibition, running along Via Po and Piazza Vittorio Veneto, aims to bring the public closer to the world of design, presenting 80 objects that have written the history of design in an unusual setting.
The pieces displayed have been selected for their innovative drive, in relation to the context and period in which they were conceived, and for their great popularity: from the moka express of 1936, to Jelly fish - a Swatch from 1983 up to the Ty Nant bottle by Lovegrove of 1999, each of the objects has been chosen because they are immediately recognisable by the general public.
The exhibition intends to spread a new vision of design, underlining its democratic nature and its constant presence in everyday life.
